Incoming kindergarteners are getting ready for the upcoming school year as part of the Northeast and Northwest Kindergarten Readiness Program. Rising kindergartners have been practicing school routines, engaging in play-based learning, rotating through centers, and developing executive functioning skills through activities like sorting and matching different shapes, colors, and objects. Establishing solid and predictable routines at home and at school is an important key to ensuring a smooth academic year!
